    Default M1949Arctic sleeping bag

    I picked up one of these today with water resistant outer bag for 20.00 ,Is in very good shape. What would be the best way to clean?

    There should be a lable sewn into the inside with cleaning instructions.

    We (USMC) would send our sleeping bag out once a year to have them drycleaned and then we would allow them to air out in the wind and Hot sun for at least 12 hours before using them.

    We would unzip them and turn them inside out to air out.
    Surivial is just an unplanned adventure when you are prepared

    Where did you find that lable, Mine says see TM 10-354 for cleaning ins.
