Myself and a couple other guys had to go over there on snow machines and pack him a run way, let it freeze then pull the plane up on to it. For a little plane it sure was a pain in the butt to get out of the snow.

In the winter I wear the vest under my out layer. Also in the winter I don't carry the S&W .44 mag. I switch to the Browning Buckmark .22lr.
I am thinking more toward the FILSON Hunting Vest Part # 032 It has three pockets in the back.

I really need to Nail this perfect or I will not carry it. If to big/bulky I won't carry it. If it flops around like I fear a Purse/Field Bag will I won't end up using it. And like your signature If I don't take it 100% of the hikes whats the point.

My vest does not flop around at all. If you get a vest that fits nicely it wont flop.

What about my offer to thin out those martin of yours?

The floppyness is with the Bag, not the vest. What would not work about the Filson vest. They have them at Mountain View Sports. But I only get 10% off there. And they cost $190.- so $171.00 is a lot to pay if it does not work.

What is a good martin worth....? I'll PM you.

Hope - while it doesn't have the "field guide" look, mine is pretty sturdy. If I remember, paid about $75 for it. Here are some pics front and back. The pouches on the back can be easily removed it needed.

Thought somebody might ask. I'm not 100% sure. I picked up the vest, a couple of range bags, and rifle cases at a gun show a while back. Good quality stuff. Did a quick search and found this on Amazon that looks like it. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000OYFBQ0?...0&linkCode=asn If it is the same, I guess I paid too much.

If it was a good deal then, it's still a good deal. The amazon is just gooder, that's all.

Yeah, I'm happy with it. Kind of freaks out the neighbors though.
