    Cool What d'ya think?

I just received a PM from a member who shall remain nameless but who also raised a concern. I feel that the concern is important, at least to that person so, after thinking about it, decided to see how many others here feel the same way. the concern was over my "snarling Wolf" avatar (I think it looks more like he's smiling, but then that's just me.) that seemed to match my "aggresive posture" that I display from time to time & may intimidate some of the "newbys" that come on here. So here's your chance. Be honest & tell me if you agree or not, & give reasons where-ever possible. Also another member spoke out against my "user-name": SARGE. Add that to your input as well. I'm not promising to change anything, but at least you all can have your say in the matter. I think that's fair.

Your joking Sarge????, So, what is crash is next???? There is a difference between what was posted "under" the bigots name, and "your name". And the avatars have to be more offensive than a smiling or growling or oooo a scary wolf. This sounds like payback to me.

To quote Sir Anthony Hopkins in the movie Legend of the Falls. "Screw'um"

I was not intimidated by your snarling avatar nor your forum name when I was a "newbie" to the forum. If they can't handle it then they don't have to look at it. Heck, my avatar is a baby owl that looks like it's trying to take a dump.

i have to be honest, that wolf scares me a little. so does the drill instructor demeanor. i suggest you march yourself right back in time and enlist in the military, else avoid contracting the sarge nickname. or, you can try to please/satisfy people as you will, try to stay fair in the proccess, do your normal thing and not have to be subjected to the slings and arrows of outrageous posters.

i dunno about all the trouble threads and the rift between some of the members, but most of you are pretty 'ok' in my book, even if i've argued with some of you a tad.

i'm just going to resume being a little obnoxious, hopefully entertaining, and if i can, helpful to the community [jim gaffigan voice: 'i knew he was a communist...'].

    canid,
i have to be honest, that claw scares me a little, would you mind changing that to a parakeet?

What I'm getting at is where does it stop. The main the rift between some of the members, was about an offensive line under his name, which doesn't belong here on these forums. That member changed the line on his own.

It wasn't me. The most offensive thing about "wannabe" Sarge is the fact that he is a Yankee.

Sarge don't change anything. I do believe the comment the other night about your user name was an atempt at humor (I could be wrong, but I'll give him the benefit of doubt on that). As far as your avatar. If a smiling wolf is scaring somebody.......Numpty!

Gave this a bit more thought after another bowl of coffee. If whomever sent you the PM was not yanking your chain.......anybody that would be scared off by a picture of a wolf that seemed a bit harsh may want to rethink ever venturing outside of their home and going for a stroll into the wilds. No telling what they may encounter on that journey - wolf, bear, coyote, moose........who's going to make the real one go away???????

You might please some of the people some of the time but you will never please all the people all the time. The wolf pic is not offensive, and is actually better than what they might see in the wild most of the time. As far as the name, that's not offensive either, so who cares what 1 or 2 people think about the choices you make for yourself? Let them call themselves smurfs if it makes them feel all cuddly and pretty and whatever. If they can't handle that, they will never make it in a survival situation anyways. LOL.

in the americas we have a choice if we see something offensive you have to the right to state your opinion and then you don't have to come here anymore, i love how people say porn is offensive, well then don't watch it, but how else am i supposed to see my sister she never comes home anymore..

    Talking Wow!

Well I thought about an avatar of a cute "wittle" puddytat, or me in a large
Twinkie" suit but figured that they'd both run off the "real survivors" here.

There is no greater solitude than that of the Tracker in the forest, unless perhaps it's that of the wolf in the wilderness.

IGNORANCE IS NO EXCUSE FOR STUPIDITY and I guess that person would be about as useful as tits on a pound of bacon. My "attack beagle" looks meaner and maybe Sarge of the Brownie Troop is what they want. Dumb, and could also pick fly crap out of pepper. I will quit before I am considered, if not already an authority on ignorance.
