Default Bragg predicts commodity collapse-c/w solution

Bragg predicts a commodity collapse, that's right an all out collapse. WHY you ask? Sales of just about every thing are plummeting, car sales which take a great deal of commodities are off as much as 30%. People have that deer in the head lights look about them, and it's showing up in sales of just about every thing you can imagine.

Every once in a while a cloud, a BLACK CLOUD settles over the masses, call it a tipping point if you like. Carter called it a "Malaise" back in the 70's and during the Great Depression they called it plain and simple..... FEAR! Call me crazy if you want, but I think we have another one of those black clouds overhead. People are walking away from their homes, their cars, their credit card debt, even their student loans .

Wall Street created the housing run up and subsequent sub prime bust, and now a commodity bubble and the bust is coming. Just like the 1920's over leveraged markets broke the bank, and this my friends is no different. In the last 4 years commodity speculation has increased 20 fold, and very soon these traders are going to be heading for the exits. Due to a frozen in place consumer, or if you prefer a consumer strike, commodities are going to be piling up everywhere because factories with no sales cancel orders.

Ask yourself this, when gasoline went from $3 a gallon to over $4 a gallon almost over night, did you change your behavior in any way? I'll bet money that 99% of you have indeed changed your behavior to one degree or another, myself included. When one of these black clouds settle over the masses, GDP can fall by 10% or even more almost over night. Then what after that first 10%, another 10 then another 10 when those dominoes really start falling?

You know what they say about high prices? Nothing !!! and I mean nothing cures high prices like higher and higher prices. Just look what happened to housing.

Braggs solution: If I had any money tied up in this commodity bubble, I would be calling my broker in the morning screaming at the top of my lungs , SELL SELL SELL !!! (except physical silver, that bubble is yet to come)

You heard it here first .

    P.S. Deflation is coming !

The collapse will be soon, my best guess is gradually over the summer, then by fall a big drop. I think it will be sooner that later. That said, if Washington sends every one some more free money, who knows? I'm speaking to anyone who may have money in the commodities sector.

You will see what I'm saying soon!

So if this collapse doesn't happen by, what....say fall....then what? What will that say to the rest of your predictions? (was gonna be a smart a** and say something like should we ignore the other predictions you made --- but decided not to say that)

Absolutely crash, ignore everything if it should NOT happen. I'm that positive.

    Now go make that call.

It's a bit like Nostradamus. If enough millenniums go by he's bound to be right sometime about something.

I read yesterday the Fed is expected to raise rates this month. Of course that will strengthen the dollar but also fuel inflation. Two edged sword kind of thing. Anyway, there is nothing worse than a consumer correction, which this one is. I had thought, as late as last month, that Q4 or Q1 next year might be the turning point to start improving. Now I'm thinking that might be the darkest hour before the dawn. We shall see. It's gonna get tougher before it gets better that's for certain.

C'mon, Bragg! Some of us south of your border are just a little concerned about how things are gonna' shake out, and you gotta' admit that several of your "innocent" comments and observations are veiled (or overt) digs at us. Most of us are masters of duble entendre. We know the game, but we just aren't used to slap shots flying back and forth across our NORTHERN border - unless we're playing hockey, of course.

Ken, I re-read my post a couple more times and I still believe it wasn't that bad. When I speak "America", I speak of my country as well. At no point was I directing it at anyone here...... just pointing out my observations in the way things are going.

I tend to feel that the fall of our countries and our way of life is a collective choice. Now, being a collective thing, it doesn't matter really what a few people think and do, it's the masses that decide. I know that isn't the democratic way to think with the every vote counts idea, but it's what I think.

Look at the moral declination of the country. Look at the loss of pride and outright attack on our countries by our own citizens. Look at the way the "common-folk" lash out against the discomfort of recognizing a threat. Look at the entitlements, well-fare, lack of respect and honor. We live in Disney Land man. We do whatever we want and blame it on someone else. No consequences. No accountability.

Let's take a trip to Southeast Asia. This is a place where oppresion and evil reign openly. Genocide, murder, rape, starvation, torture, oppression, slavery... you name it... that's just the way it is. The "common-folk" in these places; well, they are timid, quiet and scared. They hide themselves and their families from these evils. When the evil finds them, they suffer through it and continue their lives.

Americans & Canadians look for what they deserve and are entitled to, those in these terrible places look for a peaceful day.

So, it is a gentle process of oppresion in our countries. It simply starts with the voluntary giving up of freedom and liberty for our "safety". We are a society of ignorance. We are a society of pleasure and entertainment. We are a people of give-me and hand-outs. We don't sacrifice. We cannot fathom the meaning of evil........yet.

How will it all go down?

Our liberties are gone. Our right to defend ourselves has been given to our governments. Our right to freedom of beliefs and religion are no longer tolerated as it might be subversive. We are monitored. We are socialized. More taxes are levied and monies redistributed to the "less fortunate". We are assimilated by other nations (i.e. Mexico). Our God is not tolerated. Our pledge to the flags is frowned upon. Our dollars are worth nothing, meaning that survival in orgainized society is dependant upon government aid. We are no longer individuals. We become fearful. We become timid, quiet and scared...

It's time to be real survivalists.
