You know, I told my wife that I didn't want to get rid of my Carhart jacket when the lining wore out, but she told me I had to. Got a bone to pick now.

9 shots and only one kill hit? I'll bet the jacket was oversized and only two other bullets hit, leaving an entrance and exit hole which accounts for four more hits

We had a high work welder guy working with us... when I was with for a Mechanical Contractor....welded high pressure line for draw bridges and things from buckets or a rigging.

Wasn't much holding that jacket together.....all worn out and welder burns....but he would not go up in the rigging with out it on....kinda a lucky jacket, it seemed.

I have a couple....the ratty-er, ..the better in the trades....guys seem to notice NEW clothes....
    .
I wear them doing projects...these days...and wear it proudly.....every stain, hole, burn, insulation glue gob hanging on...is a reminder of past jobs.

Glad to hear it bullet proof ....LOL

Be advised that there are two different levels of Carhart gear.

What you buy from Tractor Supply and the yuppie Carhart from the gap!

I'm pretty sure if the first round hit me and didn't hurt I'd give up, ask to be taken by the local church before booking so I can tithe heavily. Four bullets get lodged? I'm taking vows to be a priest. I gotta think God is looking down after the fourth round thinking, "Seriously? No more miracles for you bub."

Hell, if the first one didn't hurt, I'd be giving serious thought to re-instituting temple offerings "yes, officer, I know I'm under arrest, but on the way to the lock up I need to find an unblemished male calf, or failing that two doves of good quality."

Well, if Carhart jacket can deflect bullets now, I think there needs to be a 6th tride ; blue collar warlock. A style defined by whatever tundrabadger happens to feel like wearing at the moment...up to and including the carhart jacket my wife made me throw away the last time we moved.

Tell your wife she should donate items like that to my favorite mens clothing store - Goodwill

You, sir, are a trend setter, which is different than a bed wetter although they could sound alike if you say them fast and someone wasn't listening. Wait, what were we talking about?

Well, better a schlub than a schlemiel, but I think I'd rather be a mensch
