    NOW CASTING: CAVE DWELLERS

A major cable network is looking for men, women and families who have decided to change their lives and set up home in one of America’s caves.

This exciting new documentary series hopes to shine the spotlight on the adventurous and brave individuals who have decided to make a cave a home somewhere in America.

If you or someone you know has made the move into a cave, we want to hear from you!

    • Are you or someone you know living in a cave somewhere in America?
    • Did you give up the rat race for a simpler life in a cave?
    • Are you living off the land, in a cave in a remote part of America?

If this sounds like you, or someone you know, please get in touch! Please reply to this forum with information about the cave dweller, whether that may be yourself or someone you know.

Please include the individual(s) names, ages, cave location and how long they have been living in a cave. We also want to hear all about why you or your recommendation decided to move to a cave location. If you are recommending someone else, please let us know how you know him or her.

We would also love to the individual in their cave home, so please provide pictures!

Don’t forget to also provide us with some contact information, including your email address and phone number.

Thanks so much, we look forward to hearing from you!

Good luck with your talent search. I've deleted the three other postings of your message. It only needs to be up once.

Who is the major cable network?
There are invites all the time....and are treated seriously...but have a whole lot more information and don't spam all over the site.

    What up?

I wonder how many cave dwellers surf the web.

If the money is right I can move into a cave, or set one up to look like I live there, like most of the other participants in these shows.

I just had cable installed for the first time in 5 years and I am amazed at the nosedive in quality of programing, especially the outdoor/homesteading/survival genre.

Most of it looks like a bunch of You-tube clips connected by long commercials.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

Really? You're really amazed? I know you're not. It's on the same intellectual level as watching paint dry with a fly buzzing around every 7 minutes.

My basement is pretty deep, so I'm pretty sure we could fake it. Now that would be good television. Watch as the intrepid Canadian "cave" dweller Does His Laundry, then reads a book sitting in an old recliner that he's not allowed to have in the living room.

Granted, we'd have to shoot around things like the furnace, the staircase, my desk, and the fact that the walls are made of cinderblocks, but aside from that I think it's workable.

Plus, he would have to practice noise discipline because his mom is playing bridge with her friends up stairs.

....and if you are gonna work on cave man stuff like antler stuff, buttons, knife scales and such (stinks like burning hair when cut) you shouldn't do it when your wife is having a Home Interiors Party up stairs.....Just saying.

It's kinda tough when you're getting flogged, trying to block and carry the dehydrator at the same time but it makes for a great story later. My wife saw a commercial for a stun gun shortly after and just smiled. Uh oh.

I don't know this for a fact, but would most cave dwellers not have internet access?

They all have internet access now. Internet is so easy, even a caveman could do it!
