Wonder what laser they are using?
My latest was the take down....that one is about $70 bucks more.

It is made by "Laser-Max" I paid $299.00 for the Laser-Max 10/22 @ Sportsman's Warehouse. Same price I paid for each 10/22 "Take-Down".

I tried a scope on the action of the take down, kinda defeats the "compactness"....have to look into just the laser.
Just looked it up, mounts with a barrel band.....

That is a complicated question, I mostly bought them as a investment, $299.00 for any type of take-down seems like a steal to me. I put a very "Compact" straight 4X scope on one, and with cheap ammo it groups OK. The take-down part is slick and flawless one you get the hang of it, it is just a twist of the wrist. Because of all the Brown Bears (Grizzly) encounters on my daily walks, any .22LR is not a walk'about firearm.

Where I think they are perfect is in a bug'out bag. What would be the cat's-a$$ would be the take-down w/Laser-Max & a small compact scope. However I may but a folding stock on the new Laser-Max 10/22

NOW if they would only bring back the 10/22 Magnum in take-down.

I have one laser on my guns. It is a Crimson Trace grip on my Sig 226 (I switch my CT lower back and forth on my .40 and 9mm uppers). I shoot at an outdoor range and the laser is useless in daylight for the most part.

Is your alls experience different?

I have Green and Red lasers...........the Green works in the daylight much Gooooooder.

I really need to pick up a 10/22. Had one years ago but currently I'm without. My mom has one that was pretty much NIB, maybe unfired...it belonged to Dad. Last week I borrowed it and took it to the range, and it may well have been the only time it's been used. I'd buy it from her but she's attached to that one for sentimental reasons. I'm torn between the takedown version, the regular SS/black synthetic one, and the version with the 1913 rail sections where the barrel band would go. Personally I wouldn't have much use for a laser on a .22 rifle; lasers might be good for a defensive weapon but I have a shotgun and some sidearms for that. However, a light would be pretty slick on it.

Strictly for survival hunting, of course...
