Default Cement jungle #1 Technology over runs the world.

Sorry i havent been on in awhile ,but im back now, so lets start the concrete jungle survival series.

    Number 1.

I was thinking into the future at my job i want and that is to be a pentester (legal hacker) , because well you make a lot of money and you can have alot of fun and since technology is on the rise, they request alot of people to test the vulnerabilities and strength's, limits of these machines or Hardware, Software.

So the first thing to do is if technology over-runs the world, is to try to hack the program, interface or machine its self to try to shut the object, system or other down as quickly as possible before it destroys the wold.Hehee and if that doesnt work shut-down the power grid or whatever powers it, so if you fail at these your basically screwed. Good luck

So i suggest if your prepairing for a tech. over-run than learn to hack......

    Feed back please:
Do you want this to continue, or not?

    Thanks,
    [E]
    Ethan,
    I'm back!!

I guess everyone needs a goal.....
When I was growing up, Doctor, fireman, policemen, teacher, forest ranger........and of course cowboy.....were kinda my goals.
    Funny how things work out.

Anyway, gotta kinda agree that technology will be important.....and even more,....the ability to get by without it.
That might be more important than technology.....as the reason why we are all here learning, trying, about the world with out power which has been around for a lot longer.

    I total agree with that.
I used to drool over my history book when we would talk about ancient civs. and i didnt even get to the part about the native americans, now that was awesome and it's why i took up archery, and the whole survival, mountain man thing.

    Ethan,
    I'm back!!

    You just joined in December!

I didn't realize you were gone yet.

And now you are back as a hi-tech mountain man.

Preparing for the fall of technology, or the overthrow of humanity by technology, by imersing oneself in technology?

    Jerimiah Johnson vs the Terminator?

    Good luck with that!

I'm still trying to figure out why Will Robinson never knew there was danger and the dang robot did. The scary music should have been a dead give away.

I agree there is too much technology....smart phones, t.v.'s etc...I'm not buying into anything more than I require, I guess my computer is good enough for me...but when I move in March going as low tech as I can get...just the basics in life is all I need....

Say, if you have the talent to shut down computer systems, how about shutting down automated answering systems. It would be great to call a bank, utility company, etc, and talk to a real person.

That is a good option for fighting computer takeover PW.

They could put my brain pattern into the computer as an intervention control.

The poor thing would keep going through files over and over through infinity trying to find its glasses!

Depends on the type of system its running on or operating system.etc
Technically i could, but i don't want a felony on my record, even-though you can cover your tracks prietty well you can always find a way to figure out who it was.

It is a contradiction liking the whole no tech/ low tech way of life and then liking the high tech way of life, but i think it works out well for me ,like they almost balance each-other out in my life IMO. But then it is hard to call yourself one or the other.... <---- they both like to take over my life. hehee
    Ethan,

Any network server or system capable of overunning the world will have a UPS battery backup system with an emergency generator backing up the UPS. It would also have redundant storage devices and main frames in other areas on seperate grids. So just shutting down the grid may not be the answer!

I'm not too worried about computer hackers...they should all be starved out in a month or so.
