    Default Quote of the Day

Have you come across a saying or statement that is quote worthy? Maybe you have come up with one yourself. Lets start a collection of our favorites that may be inspiring to others.

    Here's one of my favorites:

"Men wanted for hazardous journey. Small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant journey, safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in case of success."

Shackelton has been my hero since I was 8 years old and read a book about him. Since then I've read many books and watched documentaries and reenactments of his journey and I always get something new out of it. Forget Les, forget Bear, forget just about anyone out there. Shackleton is the real deal.

When Survival is the topic of discussion, all that needs to be said is "Shackleton".

We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful.
We have done so much, with so little, for so long, that we are now qualified to do anything...with nothing.

Yes, but Alexander Mackenzie went to the Pacific ten years earlier with only four men and a canoe. Private enterprise never gets the good press coverage government programs do!

That's because they lost all of their gear in a canoe accident.
