#1 shooting it down because of toxic fuel? hmmm, more likely we're shooting it down because its as big as a bus, and if it doesnt completely burn up- someone could salvage whats left and see the technology etc.... either way ---> meh doesnt really matter.

#2 what eats at me a little bit- we just ( a couple months ago) jumped all over China because China did what? They shot down one of their satellites..... hmmm once again The US looks slightly foolish for runnin our mouths before we know whats gonna come out. Seriously I truly love this country with all my heart- but damn some of the people running things are just plain stupid.....
Lets criticize China for demonstrating that they have the ability to shoot down satellites, and then in a couple months we'll do the same thing- but its ok cus "we're the good guys" ??

(sort of the like the US telling other countries they cant have nuclear weapons... when we're the only country to have ever used em on someone else...)

I'm glad you don't have to live here in the USA. If I knew you lived here I'd wanna PUKE. I see a lot of people from Canada on this board, and I live in WA
state. So I got no beef with your country, I just don't wanna live there. I am glad you see to be an abboration and not like the rest of the folks from up north.

Well I get a little touchy about my home. I try real hard not to bag on other places where I don't live. I love my country and am not shy about it. How is the weather back in the midwest? I used to live in Missouri for a long time. I don't miss the cold, tornadoes, and bugs. I now live with hippies, and liberals. So I just about break even.

Default I'd just like to say

Before Ned's kindergarten class gets out and he starts scribbling all over the threads with his crayons again, I'd just like to say that I am not and I'm sure most of my fellow Canuckistanians aren't quite that...whatever the hell that rant was about.

I haven't been following that satellite story that closely, but I'm thinking this:

If they want to shoot this thing down, they're going to be targetting it on monitors, right? Get a bunch of ten or twelve year olds to track it and push the button on the joystick. They spend their lives doing this stuff, they won't miss. Give them like...a missile each or something...make it a contest. It's not like there's a shortage of missiles.
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

I'm a great deal like Flander the Sander. I also have the heart of a 14 year old boy. Only I keep mine in a jar on my desk.

Where did you leave the rest of him? Or is there a whole "statute of limitations...I'm taking the fifth" kind of circumstance here?

You got more wilderness than us I do like that, but that's about it... another bad thing, you guys (some of you) speak that pansy frencher crap... although I can say I never met a Canadian I didn't like, your crocadoodle mouth overloaded your alligator azz and you could be the first. But....back to NY Mntman ... we are actually required by treaty to do what we're doing. There are four (I think) treaties that we have entered into that basically state that any country that puts "stuff" up in space is resonsible for that "stuff". If it falls back to earth and causes damage or injury, the country that sent it up is responsible. ...and if it is known that somethings coming back down, the country that sent it up should attempt to do anything that it can to prevent that from happening.

The spy gear and other stuff had no bearing on trying to destroy it, huh? Not only did we get to destroy the gear before someone else got their mitts on it, we were able to test knocking down a sat. That's what I call getting a bang for our buck......I kill myself.....
