Default What I saw as I walked up the steps just now.

Momma deer her baby, all huddled under our back pines. Reason number one why I moved my garden down the hill. I feel so bad for them in this cold though. Don't have the heart to chase them out of their little shelter regardless of how close to the house it is...

That is pretty cool. Up close to the house would be fine with me.

They bring ticks with them and eat EVERYTHING when they get too close to the house, Rick. We have such a problem with ticks year round, it's crazy. Just don't have the heart to move them along on days like today though. Far too cold...and it's only going to get colder.
Crash...you suck. LOL!! Didn't you get some snow this year too? If not...better get ready for some! The axis is changing, you know. You could be living in the next pole! Mowahahahahahaha!!!

It's at times like this that I'm glad I built little houses for my squirrels.

That is just too precious. Thanks for sharing.

Have you considered setting up a feeder to keep them away from the garden?
