I agree. The beauty of fall is where words fail me. It's like a change comes over my brain. Hard to believe it is hotter farther to the north than down here in the swampy deep south. Strange, it's been hotter this year than in several recent years, yet this is the least active Hurricane season we've had in quite a while.
Goes to show you how mother nature can be unpredictable, to an extent.
Look on the bright side, 45 days will be october. That's bow season down here, but the mosquitos and snakes are still really thick. We're usually cooling down some by then, but it's usually still hot here on halloween. Mother nature is at least THAT predictable

. while it'll start cooling off in your area in october, it'll be after thanksgiving before we feel much relief.
It could always be worse!
This discussion brings to mind those folks who are flooded (watching the weather channel) in this heat. Unprepared? probably. Most of their supplies and comforts are likely gone. Why did they stay?... this sort of ties back to SD's post about when the S really HTF.
I think at some point, something inside us says it's time to move. When we ignore that inner voice (some call it instinct, some call it intuition) is when we really run into trouble.

Love this song! maybe it'll give you a little cheer or at least make you tap your foot. I think it's about Katrina flooding in the summer. Somehow they still sound cheerful!
