Took a short trip to yellowstone, sorry for a lack of pictures but parking and finding a campground was a night mare.

While a little hike and gathering firewood on the way back I found this pond.
I really grossed people some out while cooking over a open flame.
After 3 days we left and took a picture of a few antlers.

Thanks crash, most of them pictures I took are plants.
Now for the next 6 days of mostly peace and quiet.
The fire pit was saturated so I made what I think is called an up side down fire ( done this deer hunting since 1976) to keep the coals hot and dehydrate the pit, and the mosquitoes was horrible so I keep a smoke screen up to keep them away (I know that duel survival talked about it but I just got done watching it) and it helps alot.
There at the end of the trip we was running out of water and the wife started to get concerned and I explained that water was not an issue here, we can boil and filter it if need be but if we was in the desert it would start to be an issue.
The temperatures was in the lows of the upper 30s and the hottest day was 70 and now I'm back in the valley its in the 90s, talk about thermal shock.

Did you take the lumpy chair with you?

In the future, if you set it sideways you get right next to the fire. You won't even have to reach to roast a marshmallow. Just lay the stick on the arm of the chair.

I forgot to mention that I have been telling the wife that her little yapper is bear bait but at that location the coyotes came unusually close and I made the mistake of telling her that I was using her dog as coyote bate
I am still on that list
