At a local gun shop they have a Chinese AK in moderately good shape, without any magazine and they are asking $550 for it. For a 30+ year old surplus weapon this seems ridiculous to me. Especially when you can go to Mitchell's Mausers and get a top of the line Mauser for a lot less.($200 or so less)
I know a Mauser is a bolt action and an AK is semiauto. so it's apples to oranges in some ways. Still what do you think?
On Gunbroker.com I see AKs in a lot better shape going for this price and more. It seems gun prices are just way higher than they were the last time I was in the market. something have more than doubled.
