    Default Surviving Work!

I just got finished being audited for 2 1/2 days or 60 auditor hours, as there were 3 auditors. I am responsible for QMS at a manufacturing facility. Just blowin' my own horn. We came out with 0 findings for my 3rd year in a row! Guess that is one for my survival when swimming with sharks! I took the rest of today off as a reward!
Keep in mind the problem may be extremely complicated, though the "Fix" is often simple...

Beats me. Last year I received a sweet letter from the IRS telling me I owed $20,000 more. I paid an accounting firm a bundle to check and work with the IRS. They concluded that there was a software? problem and I owed
ONLY $500. Did the IRS pay for the accountants? Well it hasn't frozen over yet and I can expect another audit again this year.

to fight... he'll just kill you.

Luckily Coot, it wasn't an IRS audit QMS is Quality Management System and I am a Quality Mngr. So you see I get audited 2X a year per the ISO 9001:2008 standard. Something our friends competing for our jobs do not have to contend with! Really it is perform or watch our jobs move out of this country. I for one give it everyhting I have. My 1/2 day off has consisted of cutting the front yard. and our training pasture. Most of the backyard got cut too. Will have to move a couple of boats to finish. Considering climbing a tree this evening and see if we can't make it a grand slam!

I get stressed for weeks before one, no more though, I study it like it means my survival. In a way it does everything depends on it it after fix'in to be 20 yrs! I tell my boss before hand not to expect any findings. He never even got interviewed this year! Too durn bad our raises have been on freeze since Dec.'08. I laughed at my review... I received the best ever... after we froze our pay raises. After 20 yrs. I know hard work pays off, so no worries. Heck! I accomplished it all with a GED, 2/3 of Assoc. ENG. and well and a few ASQ certs! I am very proud to be able to contribute to the Quality of American Manufacturing...If it is up to me.....IT AIN'T GO'IN NO WHERE!
