    Default other forums

    hello everybody

i just wanted to tell you all thank you for all of the great knowledge you freely share.

ive been to quite a few other forums and some of them are pretty bad.

you can ask a simple question about why a function doesnt work and be told
"if you dont like it, leave".

or be told the same thing if you make a suggestion- in the suggestion area mind you.

ive even seen where topics were moved from a survival area to an urbad survival area even though they had nothing to do with urban survival. when asked why they were moved you get the good ol- its my site ill do whatever i want- thing.

i could go on and on.
    but thats not my point.

my point is: i love this site and cant say thank you enough.

the other day i was trying to post pics for the first time.
i had to redo the post a couple of times.
before i could figure it out for myself i had a p.m. with a link telling me how to do it.

thats just one of many good things that have happened to me here.

once more, thank you all again

You been following me around??? LOL I know exzactly what you are talking about. Just had a run in with "You don't like it leave"!! Any way this is home. It is good to travel and encounter new ideas, But there is no place like home!!!! Oh I almost forgot. those "other Forums" are really myths, they don't really exist.

    honestly, i saw your post.
i couldnt believe the responses you were getting.

i wanted to chime in but of course
it wouldnt even let me post.

but that was enough for me.

    you said it,
    this is home.

Bladen, for me it's like this, and I quote Russel Cutts here:
There are 3 levels of cognition: learning, doing, and sharing what you learned with others

I believe that, and I know that it is how most ancient knowledges were lost. Something learned becomes so natural to the person who knows it that they dont think anyone else doesn't know it.
I'm blessed by learning, and I share what I learn.
If you ever have a question I can answer, ask it. I'll be glad to give you as good an answer as I can.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. Helen Keller

    Cool Thank You.

Thanks for the kind words Bladen. We moderators will be expecting our checks in the mail. As for those other forums, just remember the purpose of a forum and that's to exchange ideas & knowledge. Based on your report those other sites are merely "Wannabes" but "never will." Screw 'em! Welcome home!

As a real newby, I was extraordinarily fortunate. This was the first pure survival site I came across. Yeh, you're on Google. I don't need to find another (would Rick really b@n me?). Oh well.
