    Default Fundamentally change the country

I know that we aren't supposed to be political, but I have to ask the question. Is anyone comfortable with the people that the president has surrounded himself with? and the changes that may be imposed upon us?
    I know what hunts you.

I think it is time "WE" stop blaming leaders......and stop hoping they will save us from ourselves, Stop expecting that they will (can) somehow make it better.

The "Joy Ride" is over, it is Our own fault. The sooner you get wrapped around the idea that the best day of your life way yesterday, the firmer ground you will be on to move forward.......I don't like it either. But the rate of change in the world will accelerate from here forward.

True, we should act with our vote to get a different type of representative in office. Can they change everything "back", no, and nor should we or they think we should, but they could lend some sanity. I have to respectfully disagree "the best day of your life way yesterday" every tomorrow is the best day of my life for one reason or another. I choose not to surrender a dream that I have for my kids and grandkids. Am I urinating into the wind? Perhaps, but I will go down trying

The whole world is going through what America went through in the 60's and it very near destroyed America. The next twenty years will see all people of the earth demanding equality and freedom. Your quality of life is derived at least in part, via the suppression of and exploitation of other people around the world who make things for us cheap, and accept "I Owe You's", or military machinery in trade. As this unravels, your children will have to either work harder, or accept a lower quality of life. My guess is a LOT of both.

I agree there will be changes. The only constant in life is change. Does not mean that I am going to sit on the sidelines and just accept whatever %^&*( is shoved at me and mine without complete and total participation in the process of government. Those that sit by and just accept what is doled out without participating in the Democratic process are fools

If you want to know what is coming look to Oct. 1929 through 1949; We are going to have to balance the gluttony of the last period 1985 through the fall of 2008, which was a period of fraudulent consumption. There is little the leaders can do. Just as there was nothing Japan has been able to do from 1989 to 2009 but pay of the gluttony, With no growth, stagnant economy, and zombie banks, and a gradual erosion of the quality of life.

Are you advocating giving up and not trying?

Here you have it, folks. Pal has dedication and perserverance, and Rick points out the best of all possible directions to "go" in.

We are in Deep, Deep, Deep Sh!t. If the the world leaders had any semi-easy way out they would be doing it. If you really want to do something positive, advocate that they tell the people, the truth about where we REALLY are, and how we got here, and what it is going to take to get out. The truth is ALL of our Banks are bankrupt, The FDIC is banckrupt, most of the states are bankrupt, America is bankrupt, and the only lender lending us and money is OUR Fed buying OUR treasury notes (Smoke & Mirrors). The rest of the world is terrified we will default on our debt. The only way out is pain and suffering, the choice is who will do the suffering......YOU or Your CHILDREN.

The US is THE most democratic country in the world, if that still means anything to anyone. If "we" have issues, there's NO one to blame but ourselves.

If you disagree, then where else would you like to move to and be happy?
