That sucks. Will your insurance pick up what you lost?

Luckily everything that was stolen can be replaced and no one got hurt.

FVR well..... We lost over $2,000.00 worth of stuff. After a $500. deductable the insurance company offered me $375.00 But the good side is yes no one got hurt BUT if I had caught the Punks??????

when i lived in Boston i watched a guy breaking into someones car. i saw the whole event as i was on the phone with police. they cought him with his butt sticking out of the trunk of the car!! oh man that was funny!!!! the lady who owned the car was a school teacher. she had simular things that you lost (her husband was a security guard)

Well............ The Insurance company deided they would be "generous" and sent me a check we got it today. After a $500 deductible the decided their final offer take it or leave it sent a check for $497.41 . That means with the deductible ($997.41) Wonder if I can use their math for my Taxes?? Loss from theft ( as close as we could figure) was
$2,200.00 Go figure!!

That probably doesn't even cover the payments you have made to the insurance company does it? Makes you wonder why you pay them. If you had put those payments in a savings account it would probably have covered more than their "payment", maybe your total loss and some left over.

I have lived in Brazil too long to leave anything of value in my car. With insurance companies always remember that their primary means of making money is to not pay any out to you.

That 5 car accident that I was involved in a while back - insurance paid for all of my damage - in excess of $11,000. There were seven people taken to the hospital - don't know how much $$$ that cost. Three other vehicles were totaled - don't know how much $$$ that cost. Mine wasn't totaled, neither was the one in front of me. Don't know how much $$$ that one cost to repair. Sometimes there is more to "stuff" that is stolen when dealing with insurance.

Your correct Crash, Indiana law is different for collision/accident claims than for comp/thefts. All states are different in these laws. In Indiana (according to farmers insurance) Many Items like "sporting goods" are not covered unless specefied on your policy. "Normal" vehicle contents like CD's, tapes, some tools, Cell Phones and the like are covered. Plus there was no vehicle damage so that wasn't part or the claim. Had they broke the rear hatch/window that would have meant more money on the claim. The window if broke would have cost about $700.00 to replace so They would have paid $200.00 of that and just under $1,000 for "contents"
