She should also keep a digital camera in the car. It can come in handy.

I have a story like that, but it starts out...back when I was in Iraq. It is a good story, but only if others want to hear.

I don't care if it's a bear or a man resembling a bear who poops in the woods.... so I guess my vote would be: go for it, finallyme.

I've been meaning to post some pics of the BONDO job, but she hasn't sat still long enough for me to snap a single photo yet. Won't get to paint it till the 11th since we will be out at the lake for Labor Day weekend.

ok, I realize I haven't posted any updates lately, but there is a perfectly good explanation for that. I swear! We did get the front bumper, front driver's side fender, and trunk fixed, but still have the hood and back bumper left to do. But, since we helped my daughter get a vehicle, the step-daughter thought she needed one as well. Since her grades aren't up to par, and she has to wait until they are in order to actually obtain a vehicle, we decided to buy a junk yard car ('90 prelude si with the 2.05 liter engine) and rebuild the engine, do more body work, etc. since we obviously have the time.

Can't finish one project without diving into another *sigh*

Now, I have to go pick up a new radiator, which seems to be the cause of the original motor overheating and thus throwing a rod through the block. *singing* "the hip bone's connected to the back bone..."

Nice to know that I'm not the only one that suffers from PDD (project deficit disorder). I get an idea in my head and often start a new one before the old one is finished.

Congrats for having a child that is willing to work for something.........

DD first ride was older than she was, but was in good shape, as it wasn't driven far, just often.

So after SHE (with a little help) replacing the breaks, exhaust system, front seat and added a better stereo, she drove it for about 5 years till she saved up and bought a new one.

The next project will NOT be a car. It will be a tree house for my little guy (hopefully before he's 32).

whew....finally got the second car ('90 prelude 2.05 ltr engine) running. Even with using mostly junk yard parts it has been pretty expensive. We'd get one thing fixed/replaced only to find the next thing needing to be fixed/replaced. There was a hole in the radiator, a hole in the block from a thrown rod, standard overhaul (gaskets, bearings, rings, etc), replaced all the belts, spark plugs, filters, fluids, etc. only to find that the speed sensor was out. Now on to the body work!
