I Wonder Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink what ever comes out?"

August 1st. used to signal get ready for bow season to me. I used to shoot my bow everyday from every angle possible until I got happy with my results. I would shoot everyday from August until October the day that bow season came in. Then I would get up early and head for my stand and be in it a good 90 minutes before daylight. I always enjoyed watching and listening to the woods come alive. First with the whip-o-wills then the Turkeys gobbling then watching the squirrels appear magically in the tree tops. All the while keeping my eyes glued to the area surrounding my stand for that one bit of movement that caught my attention and warranted a second look. Yep, bowhunting was my first love until my accident. Now, after multiple amputations and a few years later, I sit back and think about the guy's that will get to experience the thrill that I had on that opening day in mid-October.

I hate you can't get out there, but we've had so many deer in Cabell & Wayne Co. They are all over. I see decent bucks daily and out East Lynn way or up Rt. 2 you can always watch them. I seldom kill one anymore but
I do a lot of watching. Hope you are able to spot a few from your place.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he's too old
to fight... he'll just kill you.

Considering the partial sway in his back and slight belly bulge I'd put him at 4.5
I fired up for bow season too.
