Inexpensive Bow?

Looking for a Fairly inexpensive bow that work pretty well ideally under 200 hundred dollars. Any recommendations?

Not knowing what type of bow you are interested in I would recommend looking for used bows. After a couple of years the resale value is substantially lower than new.

Watch the craigslist in your area. I saw a 500$ compound bow for 50$ that just needed a new string.

I second this Swaprat...I went looking for a bow a couple of years ago wanted something decent and Cheap. I found a Bear Super Kodiak Recurve in a pawn shop and paid less than $50 for it plus got a quiver full of arrows with it.

Picked up a really nice Bear cam bow at a church sale, the bow, hard case, bow quiver, a doz. arrows, stabilizer, for 25 bucks. Put a new 25 dollar string on it.

The plus was that the arrows were aluminum and had fletchings rather than vanes and shoot nicely out of my osage recurve. The rest of the gear is just sitting there collecting dust.

It's yardsaling and church sale season so keep your eyes open. I saw a 45lb Bear recurve for 25 bucks last week at a yard sale. Usually I would buy it and sell it at a profit price, ahhhhhhh.........just did not feel like it.

I did buy this one super cam mini bow pulling 65lbs pk a few years back for 35 bucks. I even bought a doz. carbon arrows to shoot it. Shot it, naaa....big piece of junk. Sold the bow for 200 bucks......like I said, it was one of them thar mini cam super duper mechanical thingys.

You could always do what I do............save the money and make one. Trade for a stave or better yet, get a hickory out of your back yard. Or run to the hardwood store and pick up a hickory board for a whole 10 bucks and start whittling.
