Default Super Moderators Abusing Their Power To Edit

Okay. I post a joke about Rick on "Joke of the Day." Crash edits it to turn the joke back on me! I try to change it back, and Crash HAD CLOSED the thread! Was this fair. Should Super Moderators "abuse" their power in such ways?

Doug - I do believe his tongue was firmly planted in his cheek when he posted his poll.

No! We mere mortals must be innovative in our battle against the MEAN SUPER MODERATORS. How else was I to get one up on you?

Now, I expect that both poll answer options will be yes as soon as I post this. Won't they?

Default You Can't Handle The Truth

Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by moderators with ban buttons. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Mr. Forum Guy & Gal? We have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for those that have been banned and you curse the moderators. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what we know. That those bannings, while tragic, probably saved lives. And our existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want us on that wall, you need us on that wall. We use words like spammer, troll, flaming. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that we provide, and then questions the manner in which we provide it. We would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a toot what you think you are entitled to.

Note to Crash and Sarge - Throughout the ages there have been many deities. Perhaps we should declare ourselves the same for the sake of the forum. For your edification, I submit the following.

EdiTriton - The messenger of truth. He has the power to alter the written word.

BanAres - God of war and anger. Capable of banishing members to the hinter worlds.

HadeISP - God of the net world. Capable of seeing into ones beginnings. Harbinger of the air biscuit.

The screen will always go black right after. It's some glitch, I think, in the software.

Hmmm. Those names seem more appropriate for "FURIES" than they do for "GODS."

    Stargazer! Thanks, pal!
