What is the best material for WINTER loin-cloth....?

The snow is coming down the mountain, and the summer loincloth is worn out. Wool is not an option, maybe Polar Fleece, with a Goat'tex outer shell......:)


Do you prefer belt loops on your loincloth, and if not, how do you carry your survival knife.......:)

Pick up a lined wool. I have one that has a silk lining and is just great. Need to dig it out as I do a Thanksgiving hooya at the kids school each year. The woman teachers don't really seem to mind.LOL...........

I've been in zero degree weather up on Spooky Mountain, wind blowing bad, I had on my wool loincloth, a pair of wool leggins, leather leggins over them, a linen longshirt, a wool pull over over that and a buckskin pull over over that.

I was toasty warm, all those with modern gear were just freak'n cold.

Don't worry about the knife loops. Do what all respectful cons do and hide your knife where the sun dont shine.

I use my sling shot. That makes it multi-purpose and fits my philosphy. The patch goes in front, by the way. The Y handle seems to fit comfortably in the back. Just remove any burrs from the wooden handle before you sit down. I sized the patch correctly so I get to use really really big rocks for ammunition, too. It's a win/win.:D:D

knife...neck knife I would presume or make on on the spot as needed

You could make your own. Find a wool trade cloth blanket, cut to size, and line it with something that won't uhm chafe.
