It's from the WA POLICE ACADEMY COMMAND & LAND OPERATIONS UNIT. With lots of good information. It covers many survival techniques.
The Command & Land Operations Unit was introduced to provide members of the Western Australia Police Service with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their duties in outback Western Australia and to enable them to co-ordinate or participate in emergency operations and advise on outback safety.

This June 2002 printing is the Twenty Second Edition! [First Issued 1979]

The Art of Travel PDF by Francis Galton, so far has been a nice treat! He writes about traveling in the 1800's, and the art to it.. The gear you need the different remedies, for sickness to lice. It's surprisingly interesting, covering so many facets of what hitting the trail was like even in Europe at that time. How different races were treated. Worth a look IMHO

They even have on there the Canadian Scout manual. A lot of the files don't tell you where there from until you open them.

Yes, and another one was the "AIDS TO SURVIVAL".
It's from the WA POLICE ACADEMY's - COMMAND & LAND OPERATIONS UNIT. That one covered almost all areas of surviving in the wilderness, for the Police covering the Outback.
