14 /15, yeh, that's when I started asking questions about the Marines. I knew my freshman year of hs that I was joining when I graduate.

    Just keep asking those questions.

Like FVR said - keep asking questions. What attracts you to that lifestyle right now?

Don't count out Navy Seals. I wasn't one, but worked pretty closely with em on one of the boats I was on. They are a pretty special bunch, as are all of the special forces.

Now I'm confused. I thought navy seals were what you used to keep the boat watertight when it went underwater. I guess I don't know navy beans about it.

No not really. You said you were interested in the risk, the excitement, the weapons and the travel. Let me tell you, I didn't realize the risk (huge). Oh boy, was there some excitement. Weapons? Oh yeah! and travel? Yep - got that covered - one end of the missile compartment to the other.

I guess leaning against a couple megatons of warhead makes a SAW look like a pea shooter, huh.

Kind of. Every now and then (4 times for me personally in my career) we would launch one or more for a training exercise. Pretty impressive when they leave the boat (I guess it's a whole lot more impressive when they land).
