    Default my thrift store finds

    I was shocked today at all the great stuff I found,

    1. new pair of jungle boots 5.00

    2. two hand operated can openers .25

    3. A PDR from 1999 a little dated but for .50

    4. Pair of walls blizzard proof coveralls for the wife 5.00

    5. hurrican lamp 2.99

    Then I helped my father in law clean out an old shed and got,

    1. two coleman stoves

    2. two 50cal ammo boxes

    3. a craftsman chain saw (heeds some carb work)

    All for free

    Well thats been the best haul ive made for the money at a thrift store for so long that I just had to share.

    Awesome! Thrift stores and secondhand shops are the best. Freebies are great too.

    Walked into a yardsale a few years back. Saw this old nasty dirty blanket, nobody wanted it, I gave her 5 bucks for it.

    Took it home, wife complained, I through it in the washer, hung it out to dry as it was wool, then brought a listing up for a Whitney 4pt., wife was floored.

    I can't wait for yard saling season to start again.

    $5.00 for a Whitney 4 pt? Not bad, not bad at all.

    I just had to google Whitney Wool Blankets. Saw an image and realize there is one at my parents house in NY. That thing always kept me warm!

    It may be a Hudson Bay Blanket - which would be worth even more - or it may be one of a myriad of knockoffs.

    Just googled Early of Whitneys and couldn't find a single site that listed a price. Last time I bought one, in the early 1990s, they were just under $100 new.
