Just saying hello. Milfoil (Yarrow) is one of those plants which nobody notices, lives on the margins and yet has wonderful healing qualities. So much has been forgotten, I'm glad to find others who are learning and remembering.

Welcome, please tell us a little about yourself.

Me?
Not a great deal to tell.
I'm female, married for near 20 years with 2 boys of 18 and 19. Hubby and I have a Hardware shop, timber yard and plumbing/renewable energy business here in the UK.
We regularly spend time camping 10+ times per year though rarely over the winter months (I'm not that hardy).
Without going into detail, I feel strong logical, spiritual and ecological reasons to learn, experience and pass on the respectful knowledge of the natural world beyond our suburbs. I was fortunate as a child that my family moved up to a place up on the top of the Pennines back in the 60's where people still used the old ways and some still harvested local plants for their food or medicinal uses. I've spent the last 4 years remembering it and learning to identify them again.
The biggest wild animals we ever caught up there were rabbits and pheasants
and that was rare since it was a farming community and there was little need to go a-hunting.

I was born with nothing,
with hard work and deligence I still have most of it
this week a lot less...must be a hole in my pocket
Me too, she passed away just before I was born, but I have listened to stories of the people lined up to be treated by her.
Native medicine is strong in my family, my wife is a healer though not in the same style and my son shows great aptitude in healing.
