Just wanted to drop by and wish all of ya a; Happy (4th day of) Hanakkuh, a Very Merry Christmas, and a Happy Kwanzaa.
We celebrate all three at the FVR household for obvious reasons if you've ever seen a family pic.
It's nice to live in a country where we can all do what we do, and be allowed to do it.
As the evening progressed, I took a minute to walk out back as a storm front was coming in. Just me on the back deck, with the wind blowing, a fading nip in the air with a feel of moisture in the breeze. I thought for a minute, how I would like to be spending the night, soon to be wet, in a tipi or small canvas shelter on the side of a mountain, above a creek, with a fire glowing and the sounds of raindrops, lightning and thunder in the air.
I walked back inside, deciding not to throw another log in the fireplace and resumed my fatherly duties.
It's been a good day.
Merry Christmas

Hope you're all enjoying a day with the family or at least get to talk to them somehow if they're not there (especially if they're serving just now)
