    Default EMP protection

Maybe this has been asked before, but the CBS show Jericho got me thinking about protecting my electronic equipment from an EMP attack. Has anyone ever discussed this topic here? I did a search, but nothing came up under EMP.

Somethings that you didn't cover about EMP is 1: A bomb(Nuclear) detonated at altitude will affect an area from horizon to horizon so the higher it is detonated the more area will be affected. 2: It is rumored that there are now bombs designed to produce only EMP with their detonation. This will destroy most ifrastructure at least in modern societies as it will fry all the electronics that used to run things like transportation , factories, entertainment, and emergency services.
