I defiently have more meat than anything else. I have an entire elk, and two deer in the freezer right now. I may get bored of meat....but, at least I won't go hungry

Good question. Lots of rice, beans, peas, dehydrated food, freeze dried food, tuna, honey, four, salt, and on, and on. Quite a bit of water. I figure I have at least a six month (maybe a year with tight rationing) supply of food. Maybe 5 to 6 months of drinking water. My ammunition supplies would probably last a lot longer (well - as long as there was no zombie attack)

    Really? Why?

I have all kinds of game and fish. Lots of venison and salmon. As for drinking water I have some clean 5 gallon pails in the garage. Good enough.

We have a cold room with stocks of can food, home grown potatoes, jams of various kinds, bottled fiddle heads, flour, rice, and some water. We are ok in that department as we have a brook that is clean enough to drink running by the deck. We also have a spring that is our water supply anyway.

For drinking should a fresh water supply not be available. Although there are several military bases nearby, in reality, my biggest threat is probably from a weather related occurance. When it comes to preparing, more is better in my book. Look at a Katrina type incident. It may be several months or even years before things get back to normal. While that is all happening, I will be rebuilding my life with the knowledge that I won't have to rely on somebody, but rather may be able to help others in the process.

Amount wise, dog food and duck feed. For the two of us, pasta and canned veggies (20 cans of asparagus this winter!! now THAT is luxury).

Shocked that young wolf came up to the cabin like that. Proof that at least his sniffer is broken.

I'd have to say we stock more veggies than anything. I have quite a bit of canned meat and ready meals but we have a great supply of canned vegies. I like my powdered milk, too!

I've been after them for the longest time to put those powdered eggs in something other than a #10 can. What a honkin' bunch of eggs that is!

12 to 16 quarts, if I run out, it is off to Los Anchorage. But I can get a "FIX" in Girdwood half way in. Otherwise it is straight to rehab.

But, I just got her the other day, and haven't even eaten any yet!

How about an entire elk and 2 deer butchered and wrapped.

I guess technically, I have more dog food than any thing else stored. I have just under 3 tons of dog food!
