Default Cooking cracked corn and sugar release problem.

In my quest to find one food that everyone (Me, Gooses, turkeys, Wonder'Dog) could live on in a SHTF event. NOTE: I loath corn, but it would be goooder than death. So the poultry will eat the cracked corn, (not their first choice) and I thunked if I boil it and mix it with dog food maybe wonder'poodle will eat it, which he did.

Here is the problem I tried to boil it and it started sticking to the bottom of the pot, and I thunked Corn syrup, or corn sugar must be getting released. Is that what is happening....??? and how do I cook cracked corn so it is semi-soft. Could it just be soaked over night in warm water.....?

I'm not sure the hull will ever soften. We use a lye solution to remove the hull from whole dry corn before washing and cooking. (hominy) I don't know about cracked corn. Is milling the corn an option?
    Well why not?
