Holy psychic connection Batman! I was just this very morning thinking about a movie that Lee Marvin sang in, didn't he sing something like "born under a wandering star"?
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

How has this forum changed since it began?
I wasn't here when it began, but looking at a lot of the archived threads it appears that there are many, many more knowledgeable members. Kind of makes sense.

Are there any who are not here and you wish they were? Why? What did they bring to this forum?
I wish that those that taught me a lot were still around. Some that come to mind are Adventure Doc and Beo. I'm kind of hoping that they are not gone, but rather just taking a break.

    Why do you stay around?
Because I enjoy this forum. I learn a lot. Every now and then I hope that I have given somebody some knowledge they did not have before.

Don't you know how to survive ?
I believe I do, but thanks for asking.

Yep, there is some missed knowledge without them. Ya know I was thinking about Bragg when Rebel asked the question. Yeah, I miss him......the thing is, I started missing him about six months ago when the majority of his posts turned to what they did.

Well Crash, when you put it that way it makes me think of quite a few who are no longer on the forum, calls to mind that old expression "of all the things I've lost in life, I think I miss my mind the most"
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

I wonder if Carcajou garou is even with the living any more. I can't say anymore without divulging part of a PM I got from him quite sometime back.

Sure, the forum has changed. It ebbs and flows with the hot topics of the day and with those that come and go. I just IM'd with Alpine Sapper over the last two days. I told him I'd like to see him on more but his work has him all tied up. Life events happen and we adjust. It was always nice to hear from him.

I do miss Adventure Doc, AKS, Corn Dog, Native Dude, and even Michbowguy although he's kinda new. They all have a lot of wisdom to impart and I always enjoy(ed) reading their posts.

1st, I do not "pretend that the wolf is not there"; I threw the "rose-colored glasses out a long time ago. 2nd, if you try to prepare for every possible scenario then you spread yourself pretty thin. My family & I have narrowed down all the likely "trouble spots" that's significant to where we live & have prepared accordingly, as well as continuing to "shore up the weak areas." I simply do not wish to divulge all of this just for the sake of this group; what we do is our own buisness. Besides, politics bores the crap outta me!

Oh, I left out Jay. Like to see him around, too. He's got a wealth of knowledge. Sorry, Jay.

    Cool well.............

Actually, Bragg's jokes were his best stuff. I was MC at our Magic Club performances last time & used his cannibal jokes, they went over great!

Then there was the guy with the $1,500 custom-made knife; a "folder" yet.(Tar-Heel Fan?)

How about Smok? Anyone heard from him in awhile?

There have been some that hung around for a week or so, then were never heard from again; don't think this was their kind of site.

Then there are those who post a thread without even an intro, ask a question, and vanish!

I'm leaving out someone, or someones, but I'll remember them & post when I do.

How has this forum changed since it began?
I think it's about the same. This site attracts a diff. kind of survival thinking crowd, the not so "we hope the SHTF" crowd.

Are there any who are not here and you wish they were?
People come and go. I've bumped to some folks on this site and then bumped into them on other sites. The world is not as large as some think.

What did they bring to this forum?
I just surfed on and stayed like some, some just pass on through. The info. is out there, no one person has it all.

Why do you stay around? Don't you know how to survive
No one person has all the info., I've learned things from the newbies just as they've learned for the old salts.

Thumbs up How could I forget this guy?

Let's not forget that great Aussie: SOE Digital that gave us our term for people like Brad & Adrian: "NUMPTY!"

I mostly remember the ones who proved Ignorance is no excuse for stupidity and some people shouldn't be allowed to reproduce. I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer but I look downright brilliant just proving that sometimes when the thinking gets extra deep ignorance is bliss, so I am mostly happy just reading and learning that anyone can come up with a good idea sometimes. This stuff you can't get out of a book, all sorts of first hand experience. I just had to learn to pick fly crap out of pepper to learn a little bit more outside my comfort area.
