AR Upper in .50BMG

I was wondering if anyone here has ever shot or otherwise has any experience with an AR-15 upper chambered in .50BMG? I've seen some around online, but haven't come across one in person. Thoughts?

Yeah, there's the Tactilite, the Ferret 50, Safety Harbor has a mag-fed, bolt action upper.

If I had the disposable income for it (from what I've seen, they range from about $1400 to $2000), I'd get one for kicks and giggles. And for the odd hog.

I've been going to pick up a Safety Harbour upper but with my shoulder problem, I have been having second thoughts. I'm not happy about it.

For years I have seen a single shot Barrette .50BMG at guns shows.......It would be around for a while....then it would be back....the gone.

Seemed like the same guy had it so I ask about it....He just kinda laughed and said "Yeah, I sell it about once a year....for around $4000....it's stays gone for 3-4 months....then the guy brings it back.......and I give him $3500 for it."

Haven't seen it in awhile...but haven't been to too many shows as pricing and availability of ammo and powder has been reduced.

BTW.....50 cal BMG stand for Browning Machine Gun....I always though it was "Big, muther****** Gun

Randy, I like that Safety Harbour upper. Especially the mag-fed. Figure if I did ever end up getting one, I'd probably go with the single shot though. That way you have more time to re-think your decisions in life while you reload and take a follow-up shot.
