I saw that......guess it's not in operating condition....Make ya wnder what happened.

Used to bird hunt with a older fella.....from the "Old Country"...years ago.
He like to buy the fancy engraved shotguns at Ducks Unlimited dinners....came to the dinner with a table full of country men, and they would try to out bid each other.

He also like picking mushrooms........I think better than bird hunting.
We ended up across a large section of mixed woods fields and marsh maybe a couple of miles......and he had a bag of musgrooms....no shot gun.

"Stanley, where's your shotgun?.....
"Ah?......Don't know, think maybe by tree?......Some where?"

Later we found it leaned up against a tree....DU Limited Edition Browning Auto Loader engraved shot gun.......about $2000 buck worth.

I think about how easy it was to loose it when I hear stories of found objects.

There was an episode on Pawn Stars here recently....Guy bring in a cap and ball revolver that had been inside a tree for many years.
Tree had grown around it.

Guy wanted big bucks....and although it was cool.....wasn't cool enough for Rick to spend any money on it.

Interesting. I saw where they (the anthropologists) were trying to find out any info about the owner, where it was sold, etc.
