I've been invited to host a primitive skills booth at the upcoming Fall Festival. I intend to include most of the basic necessities: Friction fire, foraged food, stone wood and bone tools, cordage, containers, and shelter.
The 26th is actually their cane-grinding day, and the park is only open to schools. I'll be set up along the nature trail in the woods and will likely host a short hike identifying plants as resources (not food!!) for school-aged children. The 27th will be open to the public, and depending on the turnout we might host a primitive skills workshop at a later date and include more hiking, and construction.
The way I see it, if there is even a small interest, then we should be able to put together much more fulfilling single demonstrations and workshops concentrating on more specific skills.
Saturday will be open to the public, but if you'd like to contact for whatever reason, you can message me, or go to LandmarkPark.com
All are invited and if you are in the area, I'd love to see you there!
