Newest family member

As some of you know our puppy boots was killed a few months ago. Our family was hurt very bad and we still miss him. My daughter still includes him in our bed time prayers together. My brother in laws buddy was going to take the dog to the pound cause he didn't want the responsibility of caring for the pup. So we offered to keep him. They brought him over today and my 4 year old daughter almost fainted she was so exited. We still haven't decided whether his new name will be rocky or woody. It is nice to having him around. He is just standing by the door ready to look for his old family I guess. I hope he warms up to us soon. Here he is. He is half cocker spaniel and half something else.

Call him Lucky since he didn't make the pound and found a home. Cute dog. They look that way on purpose so you'll keep them. Wait until he goes on the carpet. Then they aren't so cute. My wife gets upset about that. All I hear is Bad Rick, Bad Rick, No, No, No.

As far as names go, at least he isn't a Lab,.... as all Lab's first name starts with G**Da**it, so you can skip that part.

I just lost my best friend of almost 13 years,,,,, i am so sad,,,,,,,, maybe after awhile I will consider another one,,,,,, That is sure a cute puppy

JC it took us a while to get another pup after we lost ours. Its funny how life is a little nicer having a pup around. So far he follows ME everywhere and is still skiddish around every one else.

NO!! Dont ever name a pet lucky! Every "lucky" I have ever known had died an early and horrific (sometimes comic book funny) death!

Yeah, it's great isn't it....Dad!

Had a pup "follow me home" (in the truck)...same type of deal,,,better take her with you, or she's going to the pound.
Got home....DW says, You fell for that dog, hook, line, and sinker.....Became her name... "Hooker", The little yellow dog, still miss her, she was ALL dog.
Good camping dog, kept your feet warm.

Give it some time. Your best friend will send you a new buddy when the time is right. You'll just know cause you will get that feeling. Keep positive thoughts and practice patience.
