Default A Genuine Primitive Free Point Spear

this is an exelent method of spearing things the spear head penetrates, then seperates from the shaft leaving a barbed point attatched to a long cord

The basic parts are a shaft, a bird bone, and a fish shaped spear point. (sand dollar heart)

Guests can not see images in the messages. Please register in the forum.

Just fit the bone to the shaft so that the point is centered...

the next step is to lash the bone securely..

Punch a small hole in the end of the bone , insert point and pull slightly on the cord and the spear is ready to use.

All of the parts work well with each other, and there is not any difficult bone or wood work to do. it is a trustworthy method.

Found pine resin. Found a whack of chicken bones. But I search all bloody day around the farm and could not find even one sand dollar heart.

Maybe you could just break the bone to a point instead of using a sanddollar heart also?
Anyways, that is a great idea for a spear.
