first crop

I think I've posted before about it. Can't remember. We planted last year strawberrys, blueberries,blackberryes, Just picked the years first crop of strawberries, got about 2 quarts today and should have another couple by sunday or monday, BIG berries about the size ( around ) of a half dollar and about2 1/2 inches long. Blus berries are about 1/2 the size of a pea right now and blackberries ( tame ones) are about the same size. We also have lots of wild blackberries that hopefully will yield a couple gallons when ripe, and have 4 mulberry trees thay are full of little ones right now. If we get half the mulberries we should get about 6 gallons from them.

Pear tree is doing good hope to get 25-30 pears this year. ( tree is 4 years old).

That's why DW doesn't go in the garden, she just tels her friends that "her" garden is doing well, while standing next to them with her hands on her hips.

OS, Congrats, sounds like your on the right track, my problem with berries is that a lot get eaten before they go in the bucket........It's a mystery?

Anyway lots of wild blackberries at "The Place", they are everywhere......and did find some wild strawberries, pretty small but tasty.

Same here if I picked the wild ones in our little patch of woods and "fence row" we would likely get another gallon or so. (strawberries)

That kinda bites sorry to hear that, but did ya learn anything from that experiance?
