Default Went back to Issaqeena/YellowBranch Falls yesterday.

So I had an older friend that I tutor call me up and ask to take her out hiking to see the waterfalls that me and my parents went to last week. It had just rained the day before so we were hoping that the water levels were up a little, but to no avail. But she could keep up with me so we had a great time and hiked about 10 miles.

Along the trail, we came across another tunnel that was never completed. It wasn't as big as the one in the other thread, and not many people go inside. She was afraid to go in this one, so I went in a took a picture. Can't see it in the picture but everynow and then you could get a glimpse of a flying bat.

And a view from the trail that turned into a dirt road looking at where we came from.

    Default Yellow Branch - 50ft

Along the trail we came across 2 plants (more than that but you know what a mean) that we found intersting.

Looked like wild onion/garlic to me but I could not smell either one.

And this one had like these cacoons all over it but they came from the tree itself.

I accidently put a dublicate up instead of different picture and was going to post what the bottom of Yellow Branch falls looked like but photobucket is being a pain right now. They will be edited when I get the chance. Probably tomorrow...

Super pics. Thanks. The first plant pic, I think, is Jack-in-the-Pulpit seeded. I think the seed head looks so much like wild ginseng but the stalk on Jack-in-the-Pulpit is thicker than with Ginseng.

Nell would know the ginseng for sure.

Ranger, the red seed pod looks like the seeds of the Jack-in-the-pulpit to me.

Wild Ginseng loses it's seed before it dies off,now would be a good time to hunt ginseng as most of the other small plants have dies off and the ginseng is much easier to spot growing.

Daniel - two thoughts come to mind.

    1. Anything worth looking at is probably worth looking at a second time.

    2. Did you just want to look at the pic of the cute girl again?

I take really good pictures too. If they weren't so dang blurry you'd see just how good I am.
