I can see how some folks might confuse a sub blowing ballast with just a couple of hours after an MRE meal. Ain't pretty.

If by what I have learned over the years, allow me to help one person to start to prepare. If all the mistakes I have made, let me give one person the wisdom that allows them to save their life or the life of a loved one in an emergency. Then I will truly know that all the work I have done will have been worth every minute.

You eat MREs while on the computer? Bacon sandwiches I could understand. Spam sandwiches I could understand. Twinkies are just a given. But MREs? This could be time for an intervention.

no food, just water in my Go-Bag > just for last minute items

"a 100 Gal BOB water bladder" - dosent each gallon of water weigh about 5 lbs? Wouldn't be doing much "bugging out" at 500 lbs.

Water is 8.35 LBS per gallon.

The Water BOB is a plastic bladder that fits in your bath tub. It can be filled from the faucet if you expect a water shortage. It is more intended as a bug in thing.

And I believe the bladder is designed as an insert for your bathtub.

So far they haven't published my "review", but they have published a couple of reviews that share my (and our) concerns......

I guessing that the review is supposed to be from people that actually bought one, but if you look at these, maybe not?

I'll be honest. I'd much rather see someone that doesn't know what survival gear they need purchase one like than not have one. I think you wind up with better gear for less money if you do it yourself but something is usually a lot better than nothing.

It's not very comprehensive. You should remove the shower, (expecially since it's written twice,) you wont need one for awhile if you get stuck and have to bug out, as well as removing the survival kit, everything in the survival kit is in the emergncy kit. Should also remove volcano stove, and add a cheap metal canteen. (WWII canteens had an extra cup and handle, can you find them?) You should Add: MGR-826 MLT-9092 MRE-200 Maybe CAMP-145

I did start out mine with a "you got to be kidding"
    "Too Much money"
Then there was a "seems heavy on camp showers, stoves, and light sticks"
    "No T.P. and other gear".
Also I brought up the 12/21/2012 as a marketing tool.

They probally won't publish it, so I don't remember excactly what the wording was.

I do agree that if you have nothing, it's better than nothing.

As far as 12/21/2012 date is concerned, maybe it will take a "shock" to wake people up?
Eh, maybe not, there are gonna be the ones that will just expect the Gov'nt to save them.
Just seems to me that "scare tactics" is a bad tool for a reputable company to use?

As I said, I have used CTD for gear/ammo in the past, was pleased by the quality and pricing.
It just seemed to me that the have dropped the ball on these products.
I guess I'll just wait and see what they do with my comments.
