I loved the note: "Do not dry clean or launder." What?!

I got the catalog. It's a military surplus sale, and I will likely be getting some items for others for xmas. I was gonna post it here but was unsure about the rules on advertising.
I'll add here that they have lots of ammo on sale too. Bullets for the gun I used to have (that got stolen and sold on the black market) went down to 80¢ a pop. Alice Packs, Molle Packs, BOBs... all kinds of military items dirt cheap.
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. Helen Keller

YCC - You can post any links you want as long as you aren't advertising your product. If you see something of value that you think others can benefit from then go ahead and post. As long as it isn't your site or you aren't affiliated with the site then it's legal.

No problem. With shipping, I paid $70. That is $5.88 a blanket. I doubt I could get that deal anywhere. A couple are going in the car, and a couple in the van. Then my wife is planning to make me a couple jackets with them.

Although you kinda gotta watch them a little, I get a real kick out of Sportsman Guide.

Always wanted to try out the Military Surplus Grab bag, had a couple that had underwear, coats, pants, shirts, hats, boots, etc all foreign stuff for like $30 bucks?

Blankets can a good deal, got some Swedish wool blankets a couple of years back and I think the were about $40 per dozen/.
They did seem to smell slightly like kerosene? for a while after I opened the box.
    Still do.

it says 70/30 man made fibers / wool.

so its only 30% wool or is it 70% wool?

I got the blankets today. Here is my synopsis. First, I bought an Italian military wool blanket from a Surplus store last year. I am using it as a comparison. These blankets are 30% wool and 70% man made materials. They aren't woven. The fibers look randomly placed in, more like recycled paper. I pulled really hard in one direction and the fibers started to separate, but it took a lot to start. I didn't actually separate any fibers because I stopped before they started to separate. The don't smell like kerosene, or anything bad. They don't even have that military smell I remember so well . Their thickness is similar to the Italian blankets, but they seem a little lighter (not much) and little softer. They also don't seem to be as scratchy. As an emergency blanket in a car, I think they will work great. But I don't think I will sew one into a jacket, due to their non-wovenness.
