The mention of the ACLU idiots kinda makes me ill. I did a little growing up in DC and every march, protest, rocks thrown at cars by "protesters" at dear ole Resurrection City. Wasn't safe to drive in from VA that way. Those making noise ARE in power today. I personally walked around on the mall at night, listened to Fonda & Kerry and it would take a fool to wear a military uniform in public. Couldn't go without long hair and protest, no call it riots against the government. I remember Nixon's inauguration and our fine citizens whose money saved them from the draft by paying for a degree in basket weaving with a student deferment for 10yrs running a VC flag up a lamp pole at 12th & Penn. Nothing wrong with a peaceful gathering, freedom of speech and all that. For all I know I could have decked a future congressman back then. Those were mini riots, real one came in '68. Now I am gonna go look at a nice view of the hills and forget, or try.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he's too old
to fight... he'll just kill you.

some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

It was a poor man's war. No doubt about that.
