    Default Hello from the AZ desert

    I live in the (suburban) desert of Tucson, so I have a slightly different perspective and problem-set, than those of you in the cold North. Because I have no military or survival training I am a definite Newbie. However, before registering today (and introducing myself here so that the Moderators don’t have a cow (or a calf :-) I’ve spent weeks reading literally hundreds of threads and thousands of posts. I’m still a Newbie, but at least I’m not an idiot-newbie. I have learned a hellova lot and I want to sincerely thank: Rick, Crash, Ken, Bulrush, Beowulf, Trax, Ole Coot, Pict, Sarge, Wareagle, Remy, Nell67, Owl Girl and Hopeak for edumacating me. I’ll try to be worthy of this group and contribute when I think I have something to offer.
