    Default KOA Bushcamp

I have been looking at a KOA (knives of Alaska) bushcamp knife for quite a while. I see they offer two versions, one in D2 and one in AUS8. I do have the yukon in D2 and while I think it holds its edge exceptionally well I do not think that it is the best for an all around camp knife. Thus my interest in the bushcamp. Has anyone had any true experience with the bushcamp in real outdoor use. If so, give inputs as to ergonomics, edge retention (along with cutting what material), strenght has it been used to pierce anything like leather, tire rubber made or chop through any small to medium gauge wire without chipping out sections of the blade. Any skinning use and fish (pan fish) cleaning experience will be helpful. Rope cutting, opening packages and shelter building.

In my experience with tool and die, D2 is brittle but should otherwise hold an edge, not sure about the other one.
Keep in mind the problem may be extremely complicated, though the "Fix" is often simple...
