Me and my friends used to and still do that for airsoft and things like that. It works great.

Why not just pay $2 for a couple grease sticks, or go high dollar and get the little compac that comes with the mirror? Besides, I've never seen the point in camo'ing myself for deer or squirrels. It's not your profile that's going to give you away to an animal. If you are concerned about humans, there are plenty of natural camoflauge's you can use.

Burnt cork is a pretty good expedient to blacken face and hands if that's all you have. The problem is that the carbon gets down in your pores and can be hard to gt rid of, it looks like you have a face full of blackheads.

Down in Brazil criminals have a universal system for covering the face, a T-shirt. You look out the head hole and tie the arms behind the head. It works amazingly well in the bush if you use a camo T-shirt. Mac

When I used to bowhunt, I would use two large camo bandannas; I'd wear one on my head as a "doo-rag", and one across my face - covering my nose, lower face and throat, leaving only my eyes exposed. For my hands, I always wore a thin, skin tight pair of brown gloves. I've never seen the need for "total camoflage"... though in a SHTF situation, resulting in TEOTWAWKI, that might become necessary... in that situation, burnt cork, mud, grease paint, or whatever (around your eyes, etc) may be advisable for certain situations (usually involving "counter-human" activities, i.e. ambush).

Not me. The best camo for me will be front doors, chrome bumpers and mailboxes. I'm staying right here in town.

I use mud. It's free, readily available and it leaves me with a smooth and soft complexion! And if all you can find is dry dirt, just add a little water; presto! You have mud!
