Looks like it's gonna be another busy night for those watching the volcano. Just blew again... cloud height at least 32,000 ft above sea level.

Yesterday 12" of nice fresh snow, over night brown Volcanic dust, not much.

Nice layer of dust, then a fresh dusting of snow. My dogs... who like to eat snow had a bit of a suprised look on their faces this morning! HE he he! Crunch crunch yaaack!
Supposed to have an ash alert north of Kenai until noon unless she blows again.

(CNN) — Mount Redoubt volcano in southern Alaska erupted again Friday morning, scientists said.

The eruption took place at 8:40 a.m. (12:40 p.m. ET) and produced an ash cloud that rose 50,000 feet above sea level, the National Weather Service said.

That eruption followed one late Thursday that produced an ash cloud rising at least 32,000 feet above sea level, the weather service said.

The eruptions are the latest in the series of periodical eruptions from Redoubt volcano that began Sunday.

The Alaska Volcano Observatory said the alert level remains at its highest possible designation — red — indicating that an eruption is under way or imminent and that the eruption will produce a “significant emission of volcanic ash into the atmosphere.”

Come out to Hiline Lake and bring some boogies and pair of slide rails for '93 cheetah & '93 wide track. I'm beginning to have severe dislike for that mountain. Every time that thing goes off I get hit it did it '89 & 90 now again. This time was it happened right in the middle of firewood season.

Got a very light dusting of ash today in Anchorage. Just enough to cover the ground.

I would say tremors effecting the mechanical voltage regulators. Just bouncing the movable core around a little.

On a side note, I looked at a job out at Homer a few years back. It is a good thing I didn't put in for it though, may back and knees failed on me. No more linework allowed.

There are some great photo's lightining coming out of the volcano, someone with skills could post them, they are at ADN.com or Anchorage Daily News.com there are a lot of awesome night photos. Snowing hard here for the 12th out of 14 days, and with the ash everything is "GLOPPIE".

This Cowboy ain't happy about missing the spring Gun Show in Palmer this week-end...........

Mother Nature is one incredible lady. She can put on a memorable show or make you scream for mercy. Not unlike some ladies. Not that I'd know, just sayin'. (How'd I do, Crash?)
