My New Becker

I ordered myself a Becker BK-2 the other day, and I got it in the mail yesterday. I can honestly say that it is a jim dandy of knife. The blade is 1/4" thick and I can see how that it would be a great all around knife in your camp site. The blade can be used for chopping,slicing,splitting, and the drop point would be very useful for skinning game.
It has great balance and it feels very good in your hand. I will have to highly recommend it.

I was interested in the BK-2 but though that it would too thick to get a keen edge for fine cutting. How has it performed on that?

Ranger, It came razor sharp and I was doing some whittling with it yesterday evening, and it did just fine. It don't think that fine cutting would be a problem. If it does get dull, it appears to be easy to sharpen.
