    Default pao koram

I am not sure of English spelling of this but it is a handy backpacking supply if you have the ingredients. You fill a section of bamboo with rice, coconut, and sugar if you want it sweet and heat it for over an hour over a fire. The rice cooks in the bamboo and you cut it into sections. It preserves a long time and easy to carry. Maybe not as nutritious as granola bars but tastes better and will give you a sugar boost.

The water in the bamboo cooks the rice? Or do you add water?

Sorry it took so long to reply to this message. I was not near internet for awhile. You add water to the rice inside the bamboo before cooking.
