    i'll just have to settle for ice free fishing; lows are 33-30. i have 9 rods and haven't been this year.

    btw: you shoud be able to trap for crayfish beneath ice aswell, should you not? i know they can stay active in cold water [people trap them in oregon winter long], but i don't know how cold. nothing says warm up and be cheerful like fresh hot shellfish and old bay.

    Fairly low energy consumption following the creation of the hole. Drop a line, hook and bait (assuming you have these, of course)... secure stick... go do something else. I'd certainly try it.

    crawfish are active all year round i have see the bigs one i have ever seen looking down ice nole to see if any fish were around this was before fish finders
    If i don't get some whiskey soon i'm going to die!!!!!! didn't put eough dirt down saw it right off...
