It has been 6 weeks since the surgery on my ankle. I'm going in today to have the cast removed. I am praying that it is healed and I won't need another cast. I'll let ya know what the verdict is when I get home.

    Crash, you are incorrigible.

Nell, The cast is off. The doc said it looked good. The told me to check with physical therapy. My appointment is on Friday. I can barely walk.

Shooting clients is bad for business.

If you never went to the doctor then how do you know it was snapped off?
Do you have an x-ray machine at home or your place of employment?

To my "medically" trained eyes it looks like a sprained ankle!

Achilles Tendon Rupture (Achilles Tendon Tear)

"A partial or complete Achilles tendon rupture requires immediate immobilization, or in the very worst cases (a complete tear), immediate surgery to reconnect the tendon."

Humm, I think someone exaggerates a little....

Glad to hear the cast is off, and a new one wasn't necessary.

About four years ago I had a very severe ankle sprain. Looked just like the picture. Had x-rays and the whole works. Took about 7 or 8 months before I wasn't limping. To this day it still gives me trouble from time to time. Orthopedic doc said short of surgery it wasn't going to get any better. I'll pass for now.
